Regulation & Governance

At MyPharmacyServices, your safety and care are our priority. Our clinic is led by GPhC-registered independent prescriber pharmacists and is fully insured. We follow strict governance and patient safety standards in line with UK regulations.

1. Regulation

MyPharmacyServices is operated by Uroš Hostnik, Independent Prescriber Pharmacist (GPhC Reg. 2078298). As a pharmacist, he is regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), which sets professional standards to ensure pharmacists practise safely and effectively.

Under the Health and Social Care Act 2008, registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) is not required where services are delivered solely by pharmacist independent prescribers.

Although CQC registration is not required, we voluntarily align our clinical governance, safeguarding, and patient safety procedures with standards used by the CQC.

We are also fully insured for professional indemnity and medical malpractice through a UK-recognised provider.

This means you can be confident that:

  • Your care is provided by a GPhC-registered independent prescriber
  • Our service operates lawfully under the Health and Social Care Act 2008
  • We follow robust governance, safeguarding, and patient safety procedures
  • Our clinicians are fully insured for your protection

2. Clinical Governance

  • All consultations are provided by UK-registered independent prescriber pharmacists
  • We follow strict prescribing protocols and patient safety checks
  • Regular clinical audits and reviews ensure high standards of care
  • Consultations are documented securely and retained in line with legal and professional requirements

3. Safeguarding Policy

We are committed to protecting vulnerable individuals. All clinicians are trained in safeguarding procedures, and a designated safeguarding lead is in place. Any safeguarding concerns raised during consultations are escalated appropriately in line with UK safeguarding protocols.

4. Patient Feedback & Complaints

We value patient feedback as part of our commitment to continuous improvement. Patients may raise concerns or complaints by email or post. Please visit our Complaints Policy page for more information.

5. Regulatory Transparency

We believe in openness and accountability. Our governance policies, safeguarding framework, and data security measures are publicly available. If you have any questions about our regulatory status, you are welcome to contact us directly.
